I can't mooooooove

(my attempt at food photography! My hard-earned hot chocolate and cookies after today!)

I helped some friends move today... and now I can hardly move. It was a long day. A cold, long, hungry, cold, cold, cold day. This is my lesson to the world: If you love your friends, and your friends love you enough to help you move, don't move in the winter. Don't move in February in Alberta when there are 30 cm of snow on the ground and the wind chill is -30 degrees Celsius. It's not nice. Move in the summer. Or at least provide hot chocolate and lunch.

The good news is that I had a hot bubble bath and am now on my couch with a bag of oreo cookies and I don't plan to move a muscle for the rest of the evening, except to turn the heat up as far as it will go and maybe change DVDs.... maybe.... I'm watching "Charade" with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant.... I could watch it over and over again, if only for the fabulous quotes, such as:

"This is a ludicrous situation, I can think of a dozen men who are just longing to use my shower."
Goodnight Daaaaaaaahlings!

The Katamari Workout?

I think I just realized the full extent of my craziness...

I was playing Katamari, and I was trying to create star 9. I had 18 minutes and I was only 3 meters away from the 30 meter goal! GAH! So I was determined to beat it. After 18 more minutes I was STILL 3 meters off, and as I angrily tossed the controller aside I realized that my legs and arms were shaking. I was, in fact, SO intent on winning that my muscles had been tensed for 18 minutes... I'm so sore.... I'm such a loser! LOL!

Stop laughing, it's a good game!!!

At any rate, the addiction continues!

Curious Monkeys!

Kim and I saw Curious George tonight! I wasn't really sure what to expect... a preschool movie? I had no idea. It turns out that I really liked it, but I'm sure it was for the wrong reasons.

It turns out that George was just so darn cute that my overblown maternal instincts went crazy. I'm sure that the artists did this on purpose... they must know the triggers that make many women burst into tears at toilet paper commercials and the like. But commercial ploy or not, George's little face just did me in. It was so, SO cute. I want my own little George.

Goodnight and dream of monkeys!!!

Hooked Up!

Yay! I figured out how to link my blog to my website :) So if you were perusing my website and ended up here, don't worry, that was supposed to happen!

This is where I'm going to put snapshots and random nonsense and all of that silliness! So if you're interested in my brand of silliness, this is the place to be.
